If you've been following the Olympics at all, you've probably heard (or experienced firsthand) that people are not very happy with NBC's coverage. The online streams are inaccessible for those without a cable subscription, and the TV broadcasts of big events are being tape-delayed for prime time.
If you've been finding that the stateside coverage just isn't doing it for you, then perhaps it's time you went straight to the source for live, unfiltered Olympics goodness on BBC.
Unfortunately, it's not quite so easy.
BBC's live streams are technically only for those living in the UK. Luckily, Lifehacker has come up with a very clever way of circumventing the region locking, using a service called Unblock Us. Not only is it easy to set up, but it comes with a one-week trial, if you're only planning on using it to watch the Olympics.
Other sites are recommending services such as the hilariously named HideMyAss (at $9.99 a month) or Tunnelbear (at $4.99 a month).
All of these methods are fairly easy to set up, and within minutes you'll be enjoying the games as they were meant to be watched—live.
